Just received my reunion book, job well done! Thanks to all the committee members who gave their time and energy to put together the 40th. For me it seemed the best one yet!

Visit http://www.candleinc.org to see how Butler's own drug education program enables our children to make good decisions. Purchase an Entertainment Book at at a great value and know you're supporting this Butler award-winning program. Makes great gifts!

This is a great website.  I try to visit it often.

Even though I know it's a lot of work, I think we should plan to have a Reunion when we all turn SIXTY.  I'm sure several people will volunteer to help.  Count me in.

Would like to take a moment to thank the wonderful people that were involved in planning the "Class of 69" 60th birthday bash.  It was a blast !! Turning 60 can be tramatic, but this class is like family and they made all of us feel like we never left high school.  Keep up the wonderful work and I can't wait to join you for our 45th high school class reunion !

Go Class of '69

What a wonderful time the 60th Bash turned out to be! It was great to see old friends and reaquaint with those from the past! A tip of the "Duck Hat" to the committee members and the great job that they did. A special thanks goes out to Gary for his continued efforts to maintain the Class of 69 site.

The "Duck Hat" from this day on will become a tradition that will be passed on in future gatherings and class reunions. The last man/woman standing will honorably represent us in a nursing home wearing the beloved "Duck Hat".

Those of you who were unable to attend, you really need to make the next one!!

To Ken,

How are you able to dance like that? I would have been in physical therapy for a week if I tried to dance like you!!

Thanks All-----Vic

I too want to thank everyone who worked so hard to put on the 60th Birthday Bash.  This was the first event I've ever attended for our Class of '69.   I had so much fun! Now I can say I've been "Experienced!"   It was a wonderful "Happening"!  We truly are fortunate to have been from the "Sixties" generation!

I actually asked a very special someone to dance with me (you know who you are!)  It was also quite wonderful  to  get  reaquainted with many of my former high school friends that I had lost track of.    It may seem silly, but I feel this event has helped me to turn a page in my  life after all I've been through over the past few years.

Oh yes and to Victor.....Thanks so much for making me read that list of things about growing old!

Beware of payback!!!

Thanks to all of you!

Nancy

It's "Football Time" in Butler, PA! As of now we have about 25 people signed up for going to the Butler vs. Hempfield game at BHS on Friday night Oct. 11th at 7:30. It's Senior Night, and for some of us it probably seems like it was just yesterday when we were standing on that field with our parents as players, cheerleaders, and sequinettes for the final football game of our high school days - alot of great memories from those Friday night football games at BHS. I spoke with Billy Mylan, who is the AD and is my niece's husband, about reserving a block of tickets for the Class of '69 and he said that would be no problem. When you buy your ticket at the gate just tell them you are with the Class of '69. I am aware our football program has fallen on hard times over the past few decades, but it will be great to hear the old Butler High fight song and watch the band perform at half-time. Hopefully we will see a good game as well! As I type this email Butler is 1-3 and Hempfield is 2-2, so maybe we will get an evenly matched game. After the game perhaps we can gather for a few drinks and some socializing, or "hook up" as they say today! This will be my first BHS football game since we graduated - at this time, some of the others who are coming in addition to Megan Foster and myself, include my sister Judy and her husband George Presco, Larry and Frankie McCafferty, Ray and Susie Horan, Bill and Donna Tack, Denise and Jim Day, Roger and Brenda Gibson, Chuck King, Carolyn Wymer, Keith and Mary Cochran and Becky Wiles (Tom will be out of town that Friday) hopefully at least for the first half, and whoever else wants to join in - the more the merrier! If you can make it, please respond to this email indicating so, so that I can give Billy an accurate head count the week of the game. There may be a few surprise attendees as well, so you won't want to miss out on the fun! Hope you can make it, and hope all is well with everyone! Go Tornados! See you on the Hill for Friday night football on Oct. 11th! Thanks - Donnie B.

If you want to have dinner before the game the American Legion Hall on Main Street will have a buffet set up for us from 5 pm until 6:30pm. Not sure of the cost but will not be more than $10.

Dress warm!

Thanks to Gary Rauschenberger for running this site.  As I grow older, I appreciate the connection more and and more.  Thanks to those who organized our 45th reunion.  All that work was well worth it.  Thanks for all you did to make a nice time for everybody.  It was great to see old friends and to share some old times.  We were and are an amazing class on BHS!    Polly (Pitts) Shaw

Yes.  The second page of the Reunion Weekend Invitation states: "Orders for our 50th reunion memory books will be taken on Saturday evening by the photographer for $35 + shipping & handling.  Details on how to order a memory book will also be posted on our class web site after the reunion if you are unable to attend."

I just wanted to thank the Reunion Committee for all their planning and hard work. I had a fabulous time! So many friends and so, so many wonderful memories. The high school tour, the football game(thanks for staying for halftime๐Ÿ˜Š), the dinner and dancing. And the venue was perfection. We did grow up in a golden era and a wonderful town. Thank you all for a wonderful 2 days and a heart warming “Welcome Home”! All your hugs have helped to start to put my pieces back together. Thank you all. Love and blessings, Lizard ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜˜

TO THE CLASS of 69 and GUESTS

On Saturday, June 29, 2024,we Butler High grads celebrated our 55th class reuion. What can I say, but we have a wonderful group of people that work together, play together, and get along like brothers and sisters.

I love all of you, and miss our classmates that are no longer with us. We all hope this tradition keeps going, for as long as it can!

Take care everyone, because we're one beautiful and thoughtful family.
